GAME RULES
Free Play Rules
(These change slightly for tournament play)- All players must play with a drink in hand.
- Shots (min 15% alcohol) are taken at 4 point intervals, the opposing team must do a shot at point levels 4,8,12 (potentially at 16 if rule 7 increases the limit) and when beaten.
- To win your team must score 15 points. For quicker game, score to 7 points. (see rule 7)
- If you win a rally in which your opposition served, you win back the service rights.
- Only the serving side can add a point to its score.
- You score a point when your opponent could not return the shuttle or the shuttle he/she returns fall out of bounds.
- Must win by at least 2 points. In the event that the game is tied 14/14 the limit is raised to 17 points to win, this number increase by 2 as many times as the tie may occur.
- All serves must be cross-court.
Tournament Play Rules
- All players must play with a drink in hand. For drinking players, in the first game of the match, your drink must be alcoholic*
- !2 Shots (min 15% alcohol) are taken at the beginning of a match. After each game in the match, the losing team takes 1 shot.**
- !Drinking players with non-drinking partners must take their partner's shots. However, these extra shots are not required to meet the 15% alcohol minimum.
- If you finish your drink during a game, you are allowed to play the rest of that game without one in your hand. You must have a drink in hand at the beginning of every game. You may request someone off court to retrieve you a new drink if you have finished yours.
- To win a game your team must score 15 points. For quicker games, score to 7 points. (See Rule 7)

- Players must switch sides at the end of every game. Once either team receives 8 points in the 3rd game of a match, players must switch sides.
- No Smoking on the Court.
Rules are not set in stone yet so all suggestions welcome. Remember drunk people will be playing so try to keep it simple.
*Can be overruled by a referee if you are already exceedingly drunk.
**!As games progress and people get increasingly drunk, shots can be waived at the referee's discretion.
***This can be overruled if the referee determines that the game is lasting an exceedingly long time, due to drunken attention span.
